performance : mini-pleat separatorless HEPA filter technology, the best product protection in the world, external rotor motors, superior filter mechanical construction aspects and mounting methods.
Streamline Lab’ s Vertical Laminar Flow Cabinet is more compact than any other vertical flow cabinet. This is due to the new, unique blower design.
Mini-pleat HEPA filter with a typical efficiency of 99.999% at 0.3 and 0.12 microns. Single piece moulded-in-place gasket prevents leaks typical with conventional multi-piece gasket designs. Aluminium frame is more durable and sheds no particles compared to the conventional wooden frames. Integrated metal guards on both sides of the filter protect it from mechanical damage.
Washable polyurethane pre-filter extends life of main HEPA filter. Easily cleanable with water, compressed air, or vacuum - needs no replacement over the operating life of cabinet, therefore lowering maintanence costs.
Generously sized 304 grade stainless steel work surface is scratch-proof, chemically resistant, and easily cleanable with a variety of sterilizing agents. Rounded edge of the work surface in front ensures maximum comfort for the operator’ s arms during usage. All joints in the work area are permanently sealed at the factory to prevent ingress of contaminants.• Transparent UV-tempered glass side walls and white non-reflective powder-coated back wall. Glass sides provide maximum visibility into the work zone, optimizing operator comfort. White powder-coated back wall is non-reflective and will not cause glare. They also contribute to increased and uniform overall lighting levels in the work zone. Main body of the cabinet has a textured powder-coated finish that has higher resistance to routine wear than glossy finishes.
Staggered service fixture penetrations on side walls allow for better access for the operator than standard level provisions ( see engineering diagram on page 2 for illustration)
Quick-start T8 industry standard fluorescent twin lighting is employed. Electronic ballasts ( compared to conventional electromagnetic & starter systems) have zero flicker and dissipate less heat and increase energy efficiency and tube life. The warm white 5000k fluorescent lamps ( industry standard length) are comfortable to the eyes.
Reliable industry standard switches operate the blower, fluorescent lights and the optional UV lamp. To prevent accidental personnel exposure to UV radiation, the UV and normal light controls are integrated onto a 3-way switch to prevent both from being activated at the same time. The light and the blower can be operated independently for example during cleaning the cabinet.
Electronic blower monitor with LED display mounted on the front panel acts as an indicator to the blower performance and fan speed.
Easily accessible blower speed controller mounted on the control panel on the cabinet front allows the operator to monitor blower performance and take necessary steps to ensure optimum speed.
Permanently lubricated direct drive centrifugal blower; energy efficient external rotor motor type design reduces operating costs, while blower mounting design allows for 360 degree airflow distribution, thus increasing air uniformity.
Each unit manufactured is tested at factory, and individual test report is sent with each cabinet.
Like all Streamline Lab cabinets, all potentially hazardous parts of the cabinet are colour-coded red to advise the operator for caution.
Universal electrical socket outlets ( 2 no’ s) are provided as standard features on back walls.
All electrical components are UL approved or recognised. A complete suite of electrical safety tests are performed on every cabinet shipped. The entire electrical system is designed to meet IEC 61010-1, EN 61010-1 and UL 3101-1.
Lifetime warranty for the cabinet with the exception of: Blower and electrical systems ( 12-months) and consumables such as light fixtures, pre-filters and HEPA filters ( 6 months) .
